APPLE WATCH SERIES 3 REVIEW
The Apple Watch continues to shape and sell 30% more
Apple Watch Series 3 made its debut in September 2017. During the last year this smartwatch established the best sales results in its history. At the same time, it is expected that the Apple Watch 3 will soon be able to beat the entire Swiss watch market.
According to the study, during the second quarter of 2018 Apple managed to sell a total of 3.5 million units, which means 30% more than the Apple Watch sold just a year ago during the time period of 2017.
One of the main reasons is the popularity of the Apple Watch Series 3 with LTE connection, a feature that has caused many users to update their Apple Watch or buy it for the first time. The LTE model is available in both 38mm and 42mm size options, and these come in Silver, Space Gray or Gold aluminum finishes.

The Apple Watch Series 3 is manufactured with an aluminum shell and a reinforced glass panel with OLED technology that allows visualizing notifications, important data in sunlight as well as in more complex environments for any high-value smartwatch.
The Apple Watch Series 3 maintains that premise by offering one of the most elegant smartwatch designs on the market. This smartwatch has the 1.65-inch touch panel and screen resolution that reaches 390 x 312 pixels, dimensions that make it look like a large device but at the same time beautiful and very functional.
The new third smartwatch of Apple transmits feelings of quality. Apple Watch 3 is elegant and it feels very well on the wrist when we wear it. It is discreet and its buttons are not at all annoying.
A BATTERY THAT COULD LAST UP TO 3 DAYS
According to users’ opinions we have been researching, the Apple Watch Series 3 battery with normal charging and use lasts up to 3 working days, although Apple only guarantees 18 hours during the day. Therefore, the battery is much more spacious, but everything depends on the rate at which this smart watch is used. Of course, with GPS enabled and many hours of training has to last much less.
PROCESSOR S3 INFERNALLY FAST
The other positive and very important aspect that has improved greatly in the third version of the Apple Watch is the speed of this smartwatch. Applications open quickly taking between two or three seconds in each application approximately. The Apple Watch 3 smartwatch has been equipped with an S3 chip with a dual-core processor. It is 70% faster compared to the previous generation. W2 is also on board, which provides faster Bluetooth and WiFi (around 85%).
The third important thing is that it incorporates a barometric altimeter. This means that it is able to measure the elevation changes during exercise sessions and take them into account when calculating the energy/calories expended.
Thanks to its native integration with Siri, the Apple Watch Series 3 is smarter, being able to operate the device only with the voice reducing considerably the tasks with the smartphone. You are able to answer calls, send messages by the message application, new reminders were included – and everything very quickly and easily.
BRIGHT OLED SCREEN
The fourth aspect that is valued in this smartwatch of Apple is its screen that despite being small (1 inch and fraction), allows to visualize in detail photographs, maps, installed applications or even to be able to respond to messages through our voice, through the hand raised or through an emoji.
Apple Watch Series 3 has a second-generation OLED Retina display with Force Touch technology. Thanks to its outside, there is no problem in noticing the information on a sunny day. In addition, the screen has reinforced by Ion-X glass.
Apple Watch Series 3, like the S2, is water resistant and we can submerge it to a depth of 50 meters. Apple, however, does not recommend using the watch in water with several liquids (for example, with soap), as it can degrade its performance or damage it completely. The same situation is in the case of strong currents or water currents.
However, all doubts vanish as soon as you touch these straps for the first time. It is soft to the touch but at the same time transmits robustness and an expected quality. In the box of the Apple Watch we will find three straps:
● A single upper part with the steel clasp.
● Two lower parts of large and small size, to better adjust the watch to the wrist.
The straps can be exchanged freely and quickly. You press the button next to each part and slide it without problems. To put them back, you only have to enter them until you hear a slight “click”. The special mention deserves the new Sport Loop straps that the company has launched together with Series 3 (they are compatible with Series 2 and 1 as well).
The software sometimes leaves a lot to be desired. But it shines when we ask Siri to remind us of something when we get home. Be cooking and answer a call without putting your hand in your pocket. Always know what time is it in Europe without having to do calculations in the head or looking for your smartphone.
Without the mobile connection option the Apple Watch Series 3 loses much of its appeal. Now that Apple has integrated wireless charging into the iPhone, it is important to note that Apple Watch has its own wireless charging system.
For some, the Apple Watch 3 will do too many things, for others very few. But as has happened with the iPhone, Apple Watch would be something really exciting for some people. The iPhone had a basic functionality that we all understood: call by phone. But it is much more than a telephone. The Apple Smartwatch gives the time, but it also does much more than measure time.
